I was not scammed but I just want to highlight the fact that if you have to pay to receive a winning, then it is a scam!

My mother was sent a letter from State Financial Services telling her that she was a confirmed 2nd prize winner and won $4,650.00. She was sent a check for $4,850.00 to help with the 'processing fee'. I 'googled' the name and saw a similar posting on this site. It was like I suspected, it was a scam!
