Miscellaneous

My mother received a letter with a check in the amount of $4,685.00 claiming that she was a 2nd place prize winner in an International Sweepstakes. The claim states that she won $150,000.00 and a processing fee of $3,160.00 needed to be paid. My mother not knowing deposited the check in her account but luckily she waited a good amount of time and did not submit the processing fee as requested.in reviewing her account we realized that the check is being returned. We still don't know the reason until we get the check back. The other information it provides is to call Sarah the claim agent and the individual that signed the letter is Rudolph Sherman. Please be very careful when receiving checks that claim you won a prize. I work for a bank and we see this on a day to day basis and it normally happens to elderly people.
