Miscellaneous

Spent a total of £540 on a motherboard, PSU, RAM and CPU, after building it up realised that the motherboard PCIe slots were faulty as I tested them with 2 different graphic cards.
Phoned scan and told them what happen and sent the item back, after a couple of days the motherboard was considered not faulty, phone them and asked if the PCIe slots were tested and no one could give me an answer.
In the same day got an Email saying that a fault was found and it was a bad BIOS setting, immediately phone them and told them that was impossible because I checked that. Still the very rude costumer service staff kept on insisting it was my fault and I had to pay £35 (when I checked my account I was charged £42 they forgot to mention that VAT was excluded).
The motherboard came back the same way it went, long story short sent it back and this time a pin in the CPU socket was bent, and warranty was void so I paid £140 for the motherboard that never worked £42 for a tech service that it doesn’t exist.
I checked the motherboard along a friend that has the same qulifications as me (Cisco PC Hardware and software). I currently work in a computer repair center, building repairing and troubleshooting desktops and laptops.
