Back in January of this year I received a letter from Mortgage Solutions for America in Shamong, NJ stating that they can help homeowners obtain a home modification loan by doing a loan audit. I went in and spoke to a guy named Tito who explained basically the process. He told me the cost was $2000 and they could do what I couldnt do - which was to get a modification loan. I had tried unsuccessfully for over a year by myself. Anyway, being that was such a large sum of money, I asked him if they would refund it if they couldnt get me a remod and he said "absolutely."

As of this date (9 months later) I still dont have a loan and when I tried to ask for my money back i got such a hassle about how the girls in the office were working hard for me and they spent all this time getting my paperwork and sending it over to BOA etc. Basically they did the same thing I did myself.

I am going to contact the BBB and then the attorney generals office for help. Hopefully there is something that can be done. These people should be ashamed of themselves for trying to scam innocent homeowners.
