New scam claims to be US Attorney General, Eric Holder. Report this to the fbi

A new, illegal, spam email is circulating the internet. This time, the criminals are pretending to be the United States Attorney General, Eric Holder. The email advises you that The Department of Homeland Security, and the FBI have linked your email address to acts of terrorism and money laundering, and to avoid prosecution, you must pay $370 to obtain a certificate from the Economic Financial Crimes Commission.

IMMEDIATELY send this email, making sure that the senders email address is included along with any other contact information they may have provided you to the FBI's online crime reporting website at www.ic3. Gov.

DO NOT email back ANY information to the sender of this email. They are not only trying to phish out your account details, and demand you wire them money, they are also attempting to obtain personal information about you to steal your identity.

This may be the first time you have ever received an email like this, OR you may also have previously been a victim of a 419 scam, where you were told that you have won a lottery, or have fallen to a scam where you have been asked to cash checks for someone, or may have wired money to someone claiming to have inherited money, and asked you to help them out money wise.

The criminals know that if you've fallen for it once, you're likely to fall for another scam.

Impersonating a government official is a federal crime. Be sure to pass any emails like this, or any email telling you that you've won the lottery, asked to help someone with an inheritance, asked by someone to go into business with them by cashing checks, or someone who is telling you that you have money in a secret account.
