Phone Number Report: Same thing happened to me today. I had the same company at this phone # 877.533.8998 to send a check through on my act in the amt of. 01 I called the company and they would not tell me who authorized it told me in order to find out I had to go to a website enter information and it would tell me information that I wanted. The website was the same as the phone number www.8775338998.com which sounded like fraud anyway. The person I spoke to also told me that I didnt need to worry about contacting my bank that they would stop the transaction. My bank told me that they just told me that so I would not close my act and they could get money out since they knew now that the act number they used was actually linked to an open and availbale act.
I just closed my act completely which was highly recommended by my bank because now that my act has been tampered with if the attempt failed this time they would/could keep the information and try it again even several months down the road. I am just glad I caught this before my payroll was deposited into my act... Sorry scammers get a freaking job and stop trying to steal from hard working people!!!
