Kay Jewelers
Lost Ring - customer service

Miscellaneous

I have written about this complain recently but there have been some infuriating developments I would like to communicate. To recap: three weeks ago I brought in my engagement ring to be re-sized. This ring belonged to my grandmother who wore it for the 53 years she was married to my grandfather. It is one of the few things of hers I own. Two days ago I received a call that the ring was lost by Kay. It's simply missing. I can not express how devastated this makes me. What adds insult to injury is I have spent the last two days being passed around from one employee to the next who offer nothing but hallow apologies. It seems my only option according to them is to receive a Kay Jewelers ring worth the price of my 70 year old family diamond. To be honest, the thought of wearing any Kay jewelers ring makes me disgusted. This is a company that prides itself on adding to the most special moments of peoples lives. Not only have they LOST my ring but they have the audacity to suggest it can be replaced by a "new ring." The point is that it is not about the size or value of the diamond but the memorize, emotions, and sentiments that surround it. If I accept a ring from Kay the only memory I will have surrounding that diamond is the pain I feel now. Rather, I wish to be financially reimbursed so my fiance and I can look elsewhere for a ring that means something to us.
