I was enticed into participating in what turned out to be an illegal street race with no winners due to the main organizer Jim Durham disqualifying every participant so he could pocket all the entrance fees which was $1000.00 per person. The race was advertised as 10,000 miles and the route they gave riders to follow was actually 14,000 miles which made it difficult to reach the finish line within the deadline Durham set for qualifying finishers. Those 11 that were qualifying finishers ended up get disqualified by Durham. There were no winners. There were no cash prizes. Come to find out they pulled the same scam in 2010 and 2 people were killed and many were injured due to falling asleep on their bikes.
