I had a room for rent and Mary Scot wanted to rent it for $400.00 a month, $100.00 damage deposit, and $10.00 key deposit... She said she would ship her car and bedroom furniture down from toronto canada to where i live in Bremerton wa. Usa... She sent me a certified check in the amount of $2,973.00 $510.00i took out for rent... The rest was to be paid when movers got here... Then after i cashed check she sent an email that the movers wouldn't move her stuff till they recieved a check for the move in the amount $2,300.00... So i went to western union i sent $2,300.00 plus it cost $176.00 to send it... Then the next day she writes... Saying her car was stuck in customs... She needed the $500.00 to to give to customs on the car... But luckly i already spent that so they didnt get that money... Any way the check was bogus and the bank now say im responible for the whole amount... Well i guess i was stupid to be trusting...
