Deborah Chambers with CMS Enterprises came to my home and demonstrated the Kirby vacuum cleaner. I purchased it from her with the promise of "$1,500.00 with NO FINANCE CHARGE if paid off within a year". She did not write this on the contract, but DID write show it on a scratch sheet of paper in her accounting. HOWEVER, when I paid off the money WITHIN THE YEAR, I was told that I would have to pay the finance charge since the "promotion" was not written on my contract! I have called Ms. Chambers REPEATEDLY and have been ignored, I have ATTEMPTED to call Mr. Clint Schmidt REPEATEDLY and have had no luck reaching him! I did speak with Preferred Credit REPEATEDLY and they have said they spoke to Clint Schmidt who told them there is "no same as cash" policy. My LATEST contact with Preferred Credit was last week when I was told I would have to pay $499.76 to pay off the finance charge! I am a NEWLY out-of-work, single parent struggling to pay my mortgage now... I do NOT need to add this bill to my finances at this time! ESPECIALLY when I was told I would have "1 year same as cash"! I would appreciate ANY help in getting this matter resolved! Thank you!
