I leased a car through Barberino. About a year later I called the manager to see if I could do something about my lease as I could not afford it. They told me not for several months then all of a sudden the manager tells me if I buy another car from him he will get me out of my lease with a minor hit to my credit but that he would be willing to negotiate the hit for me. I purcahsed another car and he told me to drop off the Nissan to him and he would get it back to whoever he had to... Well I dropped it off and it apparently sat there for 2 months with nothing being done. Of course now he started avoiding my calls. We later found out from Nissan direct that that is not the way to turn in a lease and I needed to get the car back frombarberinao and do it the right way. Well Barberino wouldnt return my call s nor tke the calls when I called in... Noone knew where the car was. Then they located it onthe lost and they said let us detail it for you and you can pick it up next week. Well next week turned into 3 weeks becausethey never did the detail and then noone again knew why I was taking it bac. At this pount I am now getting colection calls and threats of repossession... I finally got the car back... Went to Nissan in Middletown and it was like night and day. They bent over bckwards to try and help. Well I ended up handing the car in there and did the correct paperwork. Nissan corp told me I would have to pay about a 2k difference from them selling it at auction and what I owed. Well now the calls have started and they are hitting me up with an 8k bill. They wont negotiate it down, they wont give me time to pay... I want to sue Barberino but at this point cant afford the legal costs... If you can direct me to an attorney that can help me it would be appreciated... Please tell people not to buy at Barberino Nissan their word is worth nothing. Horrible customer service.
