Fake check for $1306.29 from radius global market research

I received a letter in the mail to be a secret shopper along with a check written out for $1,306.29. The return address on the check is Fort Sill National Bank P. O box 33009 Fort Sill, OK, 73503. The letter is signed sincerely by Jeff Smith the group project director.

The letter also instructs me to call my assigned training coordinator @ 1-718-247-9848 Ext 1 or 1-800-381-9780. At first i thought this would be a good opportunity to make some money seeing as though i am only 18 and currently unnempolyed, however many red flags went up after further looking into this company.

The remitter on the check is a different name then the signature on the check and the "group prject director" on the letter. I called the 1-800 number and was told to cash the check and then call back for instructions on what to do with the money. Immediately i googled Radius Global Market Research and saw another article about this scam with a $1,306.29 check.
