I recieved this call from a private number identified himself as Alfred Jones... And i ask him how i got picked he said that every year they pick random people to get this much amount of money for five years and if something happens to me they will give the money to my family. They had me going to the western union location and send them $200 for some fee. And after i gave them the mtc # they asked for another amount of $786 for some security purposes. So i gave them that. They said that they were going to call back... Never did call so call them back talking to a different person. This guy said he was sorry but will send the money right away. Now this time they said i need to pay 10% of the money im going to recieve which is $1,040 in order to get this money." i know im a dump ass "... I was asking them all kinds of questions to make sure it wasn't a scam, and they were really good lying about this. I sure fall for it and send the amount they asked for. Now after they recieve the money they ask who is going to be my "nominee person" meaning who is going to replace me if anything happens to me. And i told them " i dont need one, just send me the money you promised me ". From there i didn't doubt it was a big scam. This nominee fee is about $900, i just started crying from the inside... I didn't know what to do. I told them i need to cancel everything and i want the money back. Offcourse they would say " im sorry everything is already being done". The person said that the last transaction of $1,040 is refundable and they would pay me back after i recieve the $7,000. I call them back today and now all they can do is wait until i send the nominee fee then they can go from there. I know that whoever's reading this thinks im the dumpest person in the world. I feel sorry for myself. I hope there's a way that i could get the money back.
I still have the receipts of all the transactions i made to them hoping that somebody will catch these desperate people in the future. I know its made up but they said they're operating out of Washington Dc, 50 Idependence Avenue. I forgot the zip code they gave me.
