I was called by a representative from Shanks Martial Arts in Edgewood, MD for their "free" demo 8 years ago, as they told me I was selected to see what they were about. They had me sign an "injury" waiver and they did not disclose I was joining their establishment with a membership. I already belonged to a regular gym and was not interested or never intended to join, but now, after all this time and I have relocated, I found my bank accounts have all been frozen as they are trying to "recoup" their membership I never signed for.
This is clearly fraud as I was never informed I was getting a membership or disclosed to that Shanks would come after me for a "FREE" tryout.
