This is Mail Fraud: DON'T FALL FOR THIS. I DIDN'T!
I received a letter in the mail with a check (WHICH I HAVE TO SAY, LOOKS COMPLETELY REAL DOWN TO THE WATERMARK) enclosed for $2815.00, and the letter said I supposedly won 50K, in the "Lotto North American and Sweepstakes Lottery (I've seen similar scams like this before.) They tell you to mail a check for "taxes" on your "winnings" to someone and in this case Mary Maclean (who, by the way, will just clean you out of your money) and fax a receipt to 866-339-2885. (Keep note of these phoney numbers) Then you deposit this check they sent you which of course looks real but is a fake, and if you fall for this, you are out whatever you sent them. They told me to send them $2115 which I guess they think looks good as it is less than the "check" they sent. They ALSO tell you to keep it CONFIDENTIAL until your claim has been processed. There is a Jennifer Mark's name on the letter at 514-296-8705. These creeps are a bunch of scam artists. Do not fall for this. They are out to get your money and the "checks" that they send aren't worth the paper they are written on. I intend to file a complaint with the office of the attorney general for mail fraud. Oh and by the way, the envelope came from canada.
