My wife and I paid retainer for law firm above to apply and negotiate with mortgage lenders (EMC & Umpqua Bank) for loan modifications under HAMP. Many delays and didnt report their progress to us. The law firm did accomplish qualifying us with EMC as we are making "Trial Period" payments to EMC. But, now the law firm has left their offices and don't return contacts from us and have made no contacts with our home equity lender, UMPQUA Bank (Oregon).
