Miscellaneous

I was contacted by White Ryland via e-mail whiteryland@live.com.
He asked me to tutor his 7-year-old daughter Annita. He would pay me $630—$600 for tutoring and $30 for materials. I was to give the balance of $2020 to the nanny. The check for $2250 arrived on Friday and I was told, via e-mail, to contact Rick Jentz@rocketmail.com and he would e-mail me to tell me the check had been activated. He did within minutes. The check was from SunTrust bank. My bank questioned its authenticity. SunTrust told my bank the account was fraudulent. I told White Ryland I would not tutor his daughter. He e-mailed me back on Monday October 3 saying thanks a lot for wasting my time and my check. My bank told me that two other women had been defrauded in September. One was sent a check for being a nanny and was told to wire the balance, $2,000, to England so that the parents could come to the US. She lost $2200. I don't know the details about the other fraud but that woman lost $1500.
