Repossessed After 21 Days Despite Offer to Prepay 7 Months

My new vehicle loan was repossessed at 21 days. I explained to them why: my husband had a heart attack on 12.17, and my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma, and I traveled 1500 miles to help as her health advocate. I agreed to pay seven months of payments upfront and set up direct debit to make it right, and they still will give very little. It is still reporting on my credit bureau as a repossession redeemed!
If they are ruining my credit anyway, then why go through all this?
