On 3/22 paid for subcription for discover magazine 9.98 and field and stream 4.98. On sept 14 called asking where my subscription to discover was - said magazine would not be shipped until end of october - blames magazine company for delay. No notice of delay was sent to me from discover or pch. I was informed on phone from rep at pch i woudl be receving a refund of the 9.98

Rec'd letter from pch stating my subcription to discover had been cancelled, no check

On 9/20 i called pch and asked where my 9.98 was - rep unable to answer my question and xferred me to a different rep. He stated that it was applied to an overdue account for merchandise ordered in 2008. I clearly told him i have never ordered from pch and what was the merchandise i supposidly ordere. Stated ti was a battery operated tweezer! I laughed outloud stating i would never order such an item even if it was free. I asked for proof of the order and under what name and address was this so called order. He said it was too old to come up with any details of the order but they were all to happy to apply my 9.98 to this so called overdue account.

After threatening him with reporting pch to better business bureau and consumer affairs and whatever agency would help me the rep assured me i would reveive a check in 4 to 6 weeks.

My guess is that pch applied illegally my 9.98 to the previous occupant of the home i just bought a year ago. Different name but same address.

I will be looking further into this incident and am still going to report this to who i need to.
