Zero Responsibilty for Mistakes!

I recently had my gas shut off thanks to no payment. What can I say times are tough and I thought Id get the payment in before that would happen. I managed to come up with the payment the same day it was shut off. That day dominion said they would send someone out;however, they never told me that anyone had to be home. I came home to find out someone had been there but couldnt turn the gas on because no one was at the house. I called dominion who told me that they had made a mistake and would send someone out the next day from 12-4. I pulled some strings and got out of work early arriving at 1215 to find someone had already been there and left again.

I called dominion saying that I was home but they responded with saying Id have to wait 5 more days before my gas could once again be turned back on. They said it was because they had to yet again come out and no one was there. Then they openly admitted that the previous day was their fault. I asked what was going do be done in return for me since they made the original mistake and they said the reschedule was what was done for me.

So basically dominion admitted to making a mistake and that I never got the gas turned back on the previous day because they failed to do their job in telling me someone had to be home. And in return I had to take a half day at work and miss pay because of this. All I asked from dominion was to get someone back out to my house that day and to get the gas back on and I would be happy. I understand that I was not there the full 4 hour window they gave me but I still got there at 1215 for an unrealistic 4 hour window that I never shouldve had to be there for in the first place. Now dominion expects me to go 5 more days of no hot water in the house because of their original mistake. Every company in the world that I know of is responsible for making things right when the mistake is on them. And by punishing me I dont see how this is in any way my fault. Something has to be done about the complaint service for this monopoly company. ~jk
