Timeshare Sale Scam

Miscellaneous

I was called by a company named Timeshare. 800-749-1238 in Orlando, Florida. A lady named Chelsea. Which I'm now sure was a fictious name. Asked me if I wanted to sell my timeshare. I did as I had lost my job. She said she had a buyer very interested. I agreed. She said there was a $1500. Up front charge. I was dubious, {and I now realize stupid}. She said it was a "slam dunk" deal! Afterwards I felt very uneasy and tried to stop payment on the credit card charge within a few days. My bank declined it, simply because someone answered the phone # provided. Shortly after that # was dis-connected and I'm out $1500. I'm a 71 yr. Old widow, which I have been for 25yrs. I only have Social Security to live on.
