This cable company sent out a flyer with 3 services for 1 price as a special as we just moved. The services were, Cable, internet and telephone. I up graded from "there special price" to DVR and
unlimited calling, local and nationwide. My first bill was $426. I called and the lady said she would fix the problem disconnect the DVR, as I couldn't use it, and re-rate the phone bill. Next thing you know a man showed up to disconnect services, (the phone is plugged into the internet so it is of no value to me either as I wanted it for faxing, plugged in upstairs to phone, fax downstairs)
I have 6 plugs for phone in house. I thought it would hook up. "NO"
The rude man said after me paying a $100.00 in spirit of good faith until we resolved problems, I gave him another $100.00 not to disconnect as I have a baby in the house who was watching cartoons. The man left although he said he would be back next week as his computer said I owed the money. After spending approx 2 hrs on phone on 2 different occasions, I asked this supervisor
how to get this done quickly, he said they don't re-rate, they decide
which is a 30 day process. I have 2 to decide on, I was advised re-rate for thier error. I then receive a letter within 5 days advising me they decided, I was wrong, they were correct in thier billing and for me to go to Public Utilities Commision if I disagreed. Gave me the 800 number. Today I called public utilities commissions and they do not handle Cable. So this is company that should not be used nor allowed to jeep thier license. The letter alone is proof that they want to use power granted by our State to rip us off, abuse us and steal from us.
