Negligence & stupidity District Of Columbia - Road Construction Project at Ramp O

On December 4th between the hours of 1pm to 2.30pm, I was driving home going south on 7th street south west, Washington DC, there were road construction crew and equipment paving the roadway and a ramp to south-west freeway.

There were no signs for any road closure nor any detours. There was a crossing pit dug across Ramp 'O' to be filled with tar. As I drove thru the pit unknowly, the underside of my car got bumped by the sides of the pit.

The damage to my car was major. The catalythic converter was broken into two halves including right rear wheel cylinder. Repairs to my car was about a thousand dollars. I want the city government to compensate me for their negligence.
