I like many others have enjoyed coast soap from the 70's-80's. Since the original scent went off the market Dial has made other scents for their soap bars but not like the original scent. Many people still search for the original scented bars and pay good money for them.in the past month I noticed Coast Soap had changed out of the corner of my eye. The wrapper stated "Limited Edition Throwback" Celebrating 35 years. There is a yellow circle also stating "Since 76" (1976). There are eight 4oz bars in this package. Each week when shopping I would pick up 2 packages of coast soap thinking that they were the original scent.

This past week I went to their web site to see where else they were selling the soap. The new package was the first thing that you see. It stated that they they have been selling Coast Soap for many years and the only limited time thing is the wrapper.
1. No where does it say that on the wrapper.
2. The new scents "Pacific Force and Arctic Boost" are all that they make now
3. I called their company 1-800-258-DIAL (3425). I explained to the agent about the issue. There was nothing she could do and is not in a position to refund any money. It was the advertising and marketing departments problem. She thought by sending me a couple of coupons for free bar of soap was an adequate response.
4. The scam I believe is making consumers think that the package contains 8 original scent bars of soap when only the wrapper has changed. The 8 pack contains the Pacific Force bars. If you go to Coastsoap.com you can see the item in question.
