I cancel my account with Columbia House DVD in 2005. I pulled my credit because I am looking for another job and I want to know where my credit stand. To my surpise I own money to NCS, I called them and they told me it was for Colubmbia House to full fill my contact. I told them I fill full my conact years ago, I even wrote them in a letter that year I cancel and call them saying I was canceling and paid for all the DVD to fill full my conact when I cancel because they told me I can't cancel till I fill full my membership. I never got any phone call, e-mail, or letter saying I own them money. Then own e-amil I got from them was asking me to rejoin their club and I still have that email to prove it. I wish I would have save all my information but how would I know six years longer they will report me to a credit agent. NCS try to get me to pay over the phone and I refused. I ask them to send me a bill and they did without my giving a address so they know how to conact me so why didn't they before their place this on my credit report. I guy on the phone was crappy he told me he and make it all disappear off my credit if I would pay them the full amount over the phone. I told him no I would to have a paper tail to show that I paid in fulled because I don't trust them. Then he told me that if I paid with check that it will still be on my credit report and it will hurt my credit because than it will go to another company. But, I don't own this money and I can't conact Columbia House I sent them a e-mail and haven't heard from them yet. I believe this is the perfect scram. I would love to join the class action lawsuit against them.
