Miscellaneous

It seems that I and a 26 others have been a victim of fraud, and a scam aimed at, and directed at the most vulnerable group of people, senior citizens. My loss came to $247.

They send out deceptive and misleading postcards, telling the recipient that they have received a “Complimentary” cruise. Dictionary.com defines Complimentary as…”given free as a gift or courtesy: a complimentary ticket.

When the recipient comes to redeem their complimentary cruise, they are told by your staff, they just need to listen to a 90 minute presentation, and they will receive their Complimentary cruise, they only need to pay a deposit up front to Executive Travel, certified funds for the fees and taxes.

This is where the fraud is consummated. Executive travel takes their money, certified funds, and after 3 months, let’s them know that it is NOT complimentary, telling them to read the fine print. They are offering cruises more expensive than one can get online. This directly contradicts EVERYTHING they were told at the presentation, and the post cards sent out.

They inflate port charges and taxes as much as $399 per person, This is 3-4 times the online posted charges for same cruise.
Refunds are subject to approval of management, which rarely happens.
