Tried to scam my parents for $10,000."Sales agent" and "attorney" Dick Chandler claims he is an attorney and that needs money for all closing, taxes and fees upfront. My parents sent him $5000 in checks and a $5000 wire transfer, because he claimed that the check did not clear. Thank goodness, in time, we cancelled the wire transfer and I will tell you he won't get the checks (but I'm not going to say why).

Tried to threaten me that he has a signed contract. I countered that his contract is unenforceable and that he committed multiple felonies, violated the Fair Debt Collecting Act, and I would be seek assistance from my state attorney general.

Tried to tell me that he's glad that he didn't go to law school with me. Me too, because I actually make money practicing law rather than breaking it.
