Rings sold on Craigslist, fraud emails, no seller protection

Miscellaneous

I sold a set of rings on Craigslist, and payment was to be made through PayPal. I received confirmation of new funds available, which would be put into my PayPal account once I provided a shipment tracking number. I provided the required information and have never received payment. I contacted PayPal and was told that I was the victim of fraudulent emails and that, as a seller, I had no recourse. So much for seller protection. Sellers, beware! Don't use PayPal if you actually expect to get paid.
