Miscellaneous

I recieved an email from someone interested in buying my phone i posted on craigslist. The person told me wanted to buy my phone for their sibling schooling outside the country. I did not recieve any other interest for the post and I was more than eager to do business with the person because I needed the money. I started asking about payment plans and shipping information. The person told me they had a verified paypal account and i just needed to ship the item and enter the tracking number to be credited with the funds. The night before I shipped it the person sent me an email from paypal that looked very legit. The email was informing me my funds were avaiable. The person also sent me an email with the shipping address, which was to nigeria. The next morning I shipped the item paying 27 dollars for priority mail. I then opened another email i recieved from paypal and entered the tracking number. I was told to wait 48 hours for the funds to arrive. Shipping would be calculated from the tracking number and I would be credited with 277 dollars. I found out from a friend way before 48 hours about Nigerian scams and found other people talking about what happened to them. It was very similar to my situation and I knew I was scammed. The person continued to email me about my item and even tried to get more money from me. I was told my phone was in costums and needed to make a 100 dollar fee to get it. I was also told the person received the phone but did not like it and wanted to send it back if I paid the shipping fee of 90 dollars. I did not fall for any of this. There was nothing i could do after I shipped the phone and I lost a very expensive phone and 27 dollars for shipping.
