Hey my name is Michael, I put out an ad on craigslist.com on selling my laptop. I was contacted on the 15th of December by a phone number of 504-535-5091 and the person that contacted me was interested in buying the laptop. "Dora Phillip Charity", the online buyer, asked if I could ship the item out to South Africa using paypal. I then asked my friend, Jesse, if I could use his paypal account to make an online transaction so I can receive the money. On the 17th of December, my friend Jesse and I created an invoice on paypal to doracharity89@yahoo.com for $560 dollars, we added an additional 60 dollars for shipping because she had told me shipping would be less than $60. So in order for me to receive any payment, I had to go and ship the laptop. I shipped the laptop I was selling for 500 dollars to Pretoria, South Africa. To an Address 301 Flat Bislon/Vos St., zip code 0002, to a person under the name of "Michael Etim". Since I was using my friend's paypal, the transaction was going under his email as well. My friend Jesse was keeping track of what was going on with the online transaction, and he was receiving emails from paypal (that he later found out were fake impersonation emails) that Dora was adding money to the transaction to pay for all the fees. On the 19th of December, my friend Jesse received an email requesting that he makes a payment to South Africa Custom of a 200 dollar import fee. My friend and I wired the money over to a person named "Abiola Adekola" that it requested it be sent to in the email, on December 22nd. On the 24th of December, my friend Jesse received an email stating that his account will be credited with the amount of 1,170 dollars within the next 48 hours because paypal is undergoing some technical problems and they do not operate under these circumstances and he will not be paid until then. After 48 hours my friend Jesse called paypal and they told him that the emails he was receiving were not from them. But that those emails he was receiving were fake. Paypal was not sending him emails and updating him on his transaction. He paid $133 dollars to have my package shipped to South Africa and an additional of 200 dollars with 17 dollars tax to South African Custom. Leaving him out 350 dollars and myself 500 dollars for the laptop. We have called USPS and they claimed they cannot return the laptop because of some international reasons. Today, the 26th of December, the laptop is in a post office in Johannesburg, South Africa. Where the package is being held right now and may soon be shipped to a person who is scamming me. Dora Phillip Charity told me that she wanted to buy my laptop to give to her Fiancee on his birthday, which was on December 23rd. I won't sit here and let her or who ever this is get away with stealing 500 from me and 350 dollars from me and my friend. Dora Phillip Charity gave the phone number of her Fiancee.
