Divine Monuments, Inc. Immoral and fraudulant thiefs

Divine Monuments Inc., now known as American Monuments Inc. Charged me $1200 for a slanted funeral marker for my mother's grave and never delivered it. I corresponded with them by phone and email, since I live in a different state then where the grave and company is located. They seemed really legitimate and had a professional website. I was mailed a contract which I signed and sent back with the full balance. I also paid the foundation fee to the cemetery. For months they strung me along, with promises of the marker's completion. Finally, I was sent photos of the marker through email, but then they said that they could not place the marker due to the cold weather. More and more time went by. Finally the marker was supposedly set. I asked if I could be sent a picture of the marker on the grave which they did. Turns out the picture was a fake. I called all of my family and told them to go and see the grave and they found nothing there. I called the company and they said that my family obviously couldn't find the grave. I called the main office of the cemetery and they had someone go and look and found only the foundation that I paid for and no marker. Now when I tried to contact the company, each time I was shuffled to a different person until eventually all the numbers I had were disconnected. They changed their name from Divine Monuments, claiming falsely that the company was closing and transferring all of its cases to this "new" company called American Monuments. There is no new company. They are both the same and I found out that this is the third time that they have changed their name. I managed to get one last vulgar email out of them and that was the last I heard from them. It's been over three years now and my mother's gravetop is still empty and it breaks my heart everyday. Please stay away from this company. These people will take advantage of you at a most vulnerable time, when you're grieving and just heartlessly scam you out of your money and run.
