Timeshare Fraud and Violation of Florida Statutes

On June 10th, I entered into an agreement with Realty Properties to sell my timeshare in Breckinridge, Colorado. They required payment in advance in the amount of $1,395.00. Periodically, I would follow up with them to check the status on the sale. The usual response - "a couple of prospects are considering the timeshare or they failed to qualify for the loan". After awhile this same response became suspect and that no active action was being taken to sell the timeshare. Through further research with Mid Florida BBB and others, I learned that Realty Properties action are in violation of Florida Statutes - Section 721.30 (6) - prohibiting advance collection of fees for listing of timeshares estates and Section 475.01 - non-licensed real estate broker, broker associate or sales associated.
