I was using dish network for TV service bundled to my AT&T phone bill.
When i switched to Uverse, I naturally cancelled everything including the TV service. I paid my last billing cycle in full at the advice of AT&T, knowing that I would receive refunds for overpaying for services I would not receive. AT&T made good on their word and refunded all monies due me for the phone and internet service. However, dish network did not. After issuing a credit on paper for the over payment, they have now informed me that i would not be receiving a credit, due to the fact that they would be applying it to the billing cycle just previous to the last one, which was already paid for by the way.
It took them over three months to finally come up with this story, which changed every time i tried to inquire on my refund.in the mean time, two months after i returned their equipment, i received a statement indicating I was past due 15.90 for shipping charges.
This was news to me. They never bothered to inform me i owed them anything. Bottom line is they sent it to collections forcing me to pay or take a hit on my credit, and at the same time found a way to steal money that they owe me.
