Ripoff Not doing the right thing with no continous employee improvement

I was hired at the end of Janaury and fired a month and half later for not being able to close a loan.

First, I was hired with no previous mortgage experience and told that I would receive extensive training. Needless to say, I was given a manual to read and a one time role play over the phone and then placed in my group.

Once there, my manager did not give any expectations, nor did she even try to help in my career path. I made several attempts to talk with her to at the very least get some feeback whether it be positive or negative.

I asked to meet with her on February 25 in which she said she would wait until the end of March to assess my progress. After which, she still made no attempt to play her role as a manager and help me.

In turn, I sought out help from co-workers. I then started getting comfortable and gaining more knowledge, in which I started selling loans. Needless to say, I came in to work on March 12 at 8:30 am, sat in on our daily morning meeting at 9:30am and was terminated by 10:30 am.

Her reason was that I was not selling fast enough as others in my training class were. I feel that this company failed me because I was very dedicated. I came early and left late. I even made efforts to connect with my manager for assistance, in which I got not response. I was not given a chance. I had just begun to start selling and then I was terminated!

I am a degreed professional, with several years of sales/management experience. I am a wife and a mother. I did not accept this position under the terms of me being terminated without proper training, expectations, and feedback.

However, I was told that my performance was going to be evaluated at the end of March and instead I was let go the second week of March with a few loans in my pipeline that I had starting building! If I was terminated without any forewarning because of performance, then my manager should be as well, being that a manager is only as good as their employees!

I am finding out that this company has a reputation of not abididng by their core values of "Doing The Right Thing" and "Continous Improvement". They did not do the right thing by giving me the proper developement to continously improve, and instead of holding management accountable, I was let go after only 6 weeks!

I made life changes and sacrifices to commit myself to this company and did not get the same in return. Not only did this happen to me, but several others as well! Their core value should be changed to "What Have You Done For Me Lately".
