Miscellaneous

There were suspicious debits on my WF checking account for May, June and July. I contacted the 800 number listed on the debits. It turned out to be Total Protect/Cross Country. THe agent I spoke with told me she had a recording of me authorizing this service. I asked to hear it but she could not retrieve it although she was positive I had authorized this service. She did tell me, however, that no further charges would be debited from my checking account and that I would be receiving a letter concerning my complaint from that company.

I called WF to get these charges reversed. Come to find out, TP/Cross Country is affiliated with WF! The WF agent, Rebecca placed a stop pmt. For any future charges. SHe told me she would turn this claim over to the WF investigation department and I had to SWEAR I didn't authorize the charges, which I did. Also, that I would be receiving written correspondence from WF investigations in 10 days and would have to wait on that department for a decision.

What a SCAM this is! Beware of any WF phone calls offering this service for free for 30 days—what they don't tell you is that after the 30 days you'll be charged 54.95 monthly. No written agreements were ever sent to us from either WF or TP. And, we definitely did not agree or even hear about this program! Beware!
