Miscellaneous

On July 4th, I was contacted from a man via match.com, an IM thru match. He wanted to chat on Yahoo IM due it is faster so he made me his contact and we chatted for 6 hours that first day. Supposably he had only been on 5 days and I had just been on for 3 days. His profile indicated he was a widow with 3yr old son. We exchanged pictures, emailed and chatted several times a day for many days. Of course by this point, he was in love with me, sent beautiful emails and wanted us both to de-activate our match profiles... Which we both did. His story is that he is an only child, his father has already passed and him & his mother do not get along now that she has remarried. He travels for work so much that he doesn't have any friends. He moved to the states but was ripped off by that friend. Then, supposably his son fell down the stairs and needed surgery and he didn't have enough cash for the hospital (& no insurance) so I sent $150 on 7/14. Then last week he got paid and couldn't get his $600,000 check cashed. I was giving him a hard time about the no insurance, how could he get himself into this kind of situation and it seemed sincere that it bothered him this bad sitation.indicating he traveled many places for work and never had this type of thing happen. He wanted money to fly to England and when I told him I didn't have that kind of money and I wasn't going to get a loan or borrow from friends or family. After a few more days of chatting it seemed he figured out that I wasn't going to send any further money it never came back up again. I was just waiting on him since he indicated it was his problem and would figure something out. Well, no luck on his end, no food for his son and he needed to Fed ex his check to his bank, wait for it to clear then he could fly back to the states. So I sent him a $100 on 7/22. His emails and chats have since declined which of course upset me. I indicated that in my last emails & chats to him I was questioning his situation. And of course, so far no response. I went against my better judgement and was SCAMMED!
