Returned a leased car in March - car was looked at by the dealership & was in "excellent condition/very clean" - I had paid an extra $20 per month to make sure if the miles were over, or there was minor wear up to $800, I would not be charged at the end of the lease.in April, I was notified by Ally that they had to repaint the car and i was being charged approximately $35o. A year & a half before turning the car in, it had been involved in a minor fender bender. I ntook it to Superior Auto Body in Austintown, OH - a second generation company that has an excellent reputation & has been in business for over 45 years. They repaired the car - you would never have known a repair was made. I think Ally reviewed my insurance record to come up with this bogus claim. And, the extra $20 per month that I paid on the lease should have covered this anyway. I spoke and corresponded in writing with Ally several times. They said they would be satisfied with a lesser amount (around $200). I explained that I am unemployed and have no money to pay for something that I do not owe. They have turned this claim over to a collection agency that has started harassing me with daily phone calls. I have contacted the Ohio Attorney General's Office & am waiting to hear from them.
