Dishonoring of 10 Year Warranty

June 15 I purchased a new air conditioner unit from Ace Air contract #501487 with a 10 year parts, labor, and compressor warranty. No obligations with Ace Air on my part were pointed out on that contract. July 7th the air conditioner failed. The evening there technician Dan came to my house and diagnosed the problem at that time he pointed out the warranty would not be honored due to I not having called them out on a annual basis to inspect the unit once again no where on the original contract dated 2007 did it obligate me to do so. Upon there refusing to honor there warranty I refused to sign his paperwork saying what he thought was the problem along with his estimate of $1800 for the repair. The next morning July 8th received a call from service manager KJ telling me he would see what could be done. Upon my third call with him he informed me the part would be warrantied thru the manufacturer Trane but he refused to resend out a technician to perform the work. The inside temparture of the house by this time had reached the mid 90's. Upon his refusal to resend out a technician I had to contact another air conditioning company who did the repair in approx. 90 minutes but I was forced to pay $499 in labor charges for the other company to do the work. Yesterday Ace Air had the gaul to send a $79.95 billing which they have charged to my credit card for there diagnosis which they refused to repair dishonnoring the original contract #501487.
