The Global World Event Planning Consulting Services planned to cheat me out of thousands of dollars by claiming to have a meet-and-greet with technology angel investors for start-ups, and I was interested in pitching my idea to the panel.
It was held at a resort in Michigan, that I later found out was a timeshare. The Global World Event Planning Consulting Services (long name for a sh&t company), and when I learned more about the event they weren't having the panel of guests as they advertised. There was an upfront fee of almost $1,400 to meet these people and I am glad I turned it down.
I would have had to go to northern Michigan from my home in Grand Rapids, but I'm lucky to have found out before hand.
If they market something similar in your area, be very wary.
