Living Social
Ski Passes

Miscellaneous

I made a purchase of the 8 ski passes offered by Living Social (Mt Ruapehu, NZ). When I tried to purchase, it said that it failed so I tried again. I ended up being charged for 16 passes, and all 16 were there for me to use. I didn't mind as I had a lot of friends that wanted to ski, so I gifted them (as it said I could - the option was there to gift online).

Some friends have come back from the mountain saying that I had 'gifted too many' and that the ski field would not accept them.

I have now found that 8 of my passes I paid for have been removed from my log in and I am left with one to use myself. I was never refunded for the 8 passes that have been removed, or for the 3 that have disappeared also.

Luckily I had noted down the numbers of all my passes I purchased. From the friends I have spoken to, only 4 have been used - however the others that I gifted have been removed from my login.

I want to use my 4 passes as I am entitled. I also would like either my other passes to be re-instated or alternatively be refunded (and would like to mention that I never intended to purchase 16 in the first place).

I feel slightly perplexed that I would have these passes removed and receive no refund.

I have sent three emails to Living Social to no avail. I have tried calling the number on the website (0061280051915) but it is not connected.
