Treats Patients Badly After Being Discharged

On 05/10, I, Cheryl Nelson, had to be escorted to the Medical College of Virginia (MCV), my choice. I had to call 911 because I was having an anxiety attack, and my blood pressure was 222/173 (deadly). The paramedics arrived. I must commend them. I was taken by ambulance to MCV. Arrived according to my paperwork at 10:00am and released around 2:20pm. I was immediately placed on an IV in the ambulance and asked to try and relax. After arriving at MCV their were several individuals who came into my area and asked questions. Their was a social worker who did not want to give me a taxi voucher to get home, but I told her that I really needed one, because I did not have a way home. Rude. After being released from MCV the IV was taken out of my arm and I was told bye by one of the nurses. I did not have an escort, I was still delirious from my blood pressure being so high. The taxi voucher was left in the room. I was given no instructions on how and where to meet this taxi. I was never offered a wheel chair. This is the second time that MCV has treated me in this manner. I was almost hit by a car on both occassions. I was finally picked up by yellow cab at 3:10pm, an awful long time for a patient with high blood pressure to wait standing.
THIS IS AN OFFICIAL COMPLAINT. I did report to the BBB, but was told that their organization does not get involved in situations like this, they did give me a number for the Board of Medicine. I am offended, disgusted, and have learned a valuable lesson. I would like to get a reply back, in writing, verifying that you received this COMPLAINT? Thank you.
