Credit Card Fraud Masters

In late October, while checking my bank statement, I noticed 2 charges (one for 11.95 and one for 14.95) from an entity only identified as '1-888-474-4579 bnftclb'. I called this number to find out exactly what it was and was told that they were charges for my credit card benefit club. I told the man that I do not now nor have I ever had a credit card. He told me I signed up for one in February. I explained to him that I did remember an incident where I started to sign up for a credit card over the phone, but was disconnected in the middle of the call. I informed him that I had called back and immediately cancelled the proccess that I had started. The person, at that time, verified the cancellation of my application. Within 24 hrs of my cancellation, I noticed my account had been debited 224.00 by an unknown entity. (This was th exact amount they were trying to charge my for a 0.00 APR credit card.) I tried to call the credit card company back but of course the number was already disconnected. I tried several things to try and reclaim my money but was unsuccessful so I chalcked it up to a loss and learning experience. Now, months later, I'm recieveing charges from this benefit club. The person, at this time, informed me that I should recieve a reimbursement for the original 224.00 (which he verified was the charge from February) plus a reimbursement for the 2 recent benefit club charges within 4 weeks. He said if my account wasn't credited in this time to fax them my account statement circling the charges and they would then credit my account. Of course nothing has happened and again the phone numbers are disconnected. How I would like to get my hands on just one of this ring of thieves.
