Furniture Paid for - Not Delivered

I paid in full on 12/04 $5,000 cash for one Majestic complete bedroom set that I did put on layaway, to be shipped to Florida on 12/08. I payed the trucker $500 cash to pick up the set from the store to be delivered along with other household items to my current address. These other items were picked up from my former residence on 12/07. My husband and I left for Florida on 12/08. When the trucker arrived in Florida 1 week later he said that Joe did not give him the furniture. I immediately called the store and spoke to Joe, from thence to this day is nothing but lies. Since then, the same trucker has made 2 trips, 2nd being today's date and I am still to get the furniture. I have since booked a flight for my husband and I to come to New York to try to get our money back. I will like to know if the media could be there when we would be going to the store.
