Non Existent Technical Support/Customer Service

In a nutshell - 4 emails over the course of 5 or so weeks to their so called Technical Support using THEIR online email link regarding information sought for a potential large purchase of Saitek hardware and nothing. It took them in excess of 5 weeks to reply and when they did, I received very little other than "use the toll free phone number on our site." And given advice about something that I did not own! If this is the standard that Saitek Tech Spt utilizes then god help anyone who buys any of their stuff and needs actual, cooperative help - you will be VERY lucky to get it. Saitek/Mad Catz treats it's customers with utter contempt and indifference when it comes to after sales support. Nothing new about though as most US companies follow the same indifferent attitude - "we have your money, now go away."

Saitek did not even offer me the courtesy of trying to rectify their failure to respond to my initial emails, the ones they did not respond to. There was no offer of anything other than excuses (not reasons - excuses) such as "I can't find any emails from you. Saitek was a reasonable company until bought out by Mad Catz and now, with so many other companies delving into the world of Flight Sim Hardware - I would NOT buy anything from Saitek period.

Their forums are full of complaints about poor quality items and their software - yet NOTHING has been done to rectify these issues. Saitek/Mad Catz are, as said, totally indifferent to the consumer once they have their money, and in my case, even before they might have got my money.

Basically buyer beware!
