Poor product - credit card

I have been a faithful card member for over two and a half years now. It is a non secured card with a $500.00 limit. I have never been late and always pay more than the minimum. I called recently to ask for a credit line increase and was told that nobody was getting increases anymore. This was disheartening news as I obviously am trying to rebuild my credit. This certainly does not help and was a definite slap in the face.
