Headmasters in Saddle Brook, NJ is a small family owned mechanic specializing in engines. However, they provide other automotives services as well.

I came to check out Headmaster, because my regular mechanic had recommended them after they suggested I might have an engine problem. Personally, I believe finding a knowledgeable, affordable and trustworthy mechanic is easier said than done. Furthermore, I have had my share of shabby companies, who were secretive about final cost of services and repairs needed.
Fortunately, Headmasters is not one of those places. Karo, vice president of Headmasters will listen to a description of your problems and will take your specific needs into consideration.

On my first visit to the engine shop, I explained I had just spent a large amount of money on my car and was not looking to spent much more. He offered to check out the car and honestly explained he did not think the labor and cost to be invested would be worth it. He could have inspected the vehicle and then deceived me by telling me the problem was fixable and worth it. He even allowed me to take a few days to consider my options: Fix the car or get a new car, both choices meant for me to spent more money than I had intended.

Consequently, I was ready to give up on my fairly old car and move on to a new used car, which would have stretched my financial means beyond the realm of possibilities. Surprisingly, when I called he offered me a third option: Getting to the problem at a significantly lower price. He had listened and thought about what seemed to be the best choice for me. I felt like a cared for costumer, not just a number and a means to making a pay check.
Headmasters is trustworthy, courteous and professional. I would recommend the engine shop to my close friends and anyone, who has been looking for a mechanic they feel comfortable with, someone who does not take your money and makes a run for it. They are here to stay as they display exceptional customer service.
