Like reported previously by Robin, from California, I received a letter today (March, coincidentally), dated February 25, from a company called "Thornhill Securities, Inc." based in London, UK. 306 Brixton Rd., London, UK SW9 6AE, to be exact. It is a prize claim / final notification. From their Promotions Manager, Rhonda Scott. Funny but the envelop did not have a Sender's address — first suspecious sign.

Included, an OFFICIAL CHECK from "TD Bank" (I assume TD stands for "Too Dumb" to figure out this has SCAM written all over it!), for the amount of $3,980.00, advising that this is just part of the $250,000.00 I have WON on the MEGA LOTTERY conducted in the UK. I am part of the 2nd. Category winners (yeah, right, I haven't entered any lottery drawings to begin with). And, in order to collect, I need to call a Claim Agent: Michael Quest, within the next 5 days, with a phone # traced to somewhere south Ontario, Canada. Phone # 289-894-0050.

To end this report, I am going to quote the second to last paragraph of the letter:
"Please do not attempt to use this check until you call. We urge you to keep this winning CONFIDENTIAL until your claim has been processed and your cash remitted to you as this is part of our security protocol and to avoid double claiming or unscrupulous acts by non participants taking advantage of this program."

This people should really get a real job. The sad part is that they may get some people fall for such a scam. Do refrain from following up on this kind of "too good to be true" scams. I do hope they get caught.
