I would like to file a complaint against the Hollister store at 500 West Farms Mall in Farmington Ct 06032. My 13 year old daughter was there this past Saturday 2/12 with her grandmother. She purchased a shirt for $12.25 and handed the cashier $13.00. She should have been given. 75 cents back, however, the cashier said that they did not have any change and that happens often. I find that ridiculous. Once I found out, I called the store that evening. I spoke to a young gentleman. He mentioned he would talk to the manager and that I should hear back in a couple days. I did not hear back. So I called on 2/15 during the afternoon and spoke to a young lady (supposively one of the managers). I told her the story and she didn't seem phased by it and said the person I spoke to on Saturday evening would call me back. He did not call me back so I called at 7:30 that evening... I finally was able to speak to him. He said that his manager said I need to call the district manager to resolve this. I asked about the employee and he said his is being investigated. Is that true, I do not know for sure... How would I? I asked to speak to the store manager and the young gentleman said he was... I am disgusted with how this is being handled by the employees of this store. I explained that the store stole from a 13 year old girl. If she was to steal a shirt for $12.25 they would have her prosecuted. I cannot believe how this is being handled and how the store really could care less that they are stealing from customers... I am wondering how many customers they may be steaing from... I am teaching my daughter responsibility and how to be honest and respect others but this certainly disgusts me. Please help!
