National Credit Shopper aka Capital Choice
National Credit Shopper's false advertisement and refusal to deal with customers

I received information in the mail from "National Credit Shopper" NCS with a "Diamond Select" card. I did not remember speaking with anyone regarding the a diamond select card so I called the customer service no. Listed on the letter NCS had sent to find out how i received this card.

On the first call to the co. A computer system answered the phone. The second call placed on Nov. 27 i spoke breifly w/a person claiming to be a manager, who refused to speak with me at all without a "file number". I did not see any number on my letter labeled "file number", so I tried to give him any available info. That i had, which was an account no. On the letter they sent to me.

He was very rude to me, refused to discuss anything (even where to locate file numbers!), refused to let me speak with his supervisor, and he HUNG UP on me! At one point during the conversation, the "manager" would not even listen to any words I was speaking, he just kept repeating "you wont get anywhere w/o a file no." over and over.

I did an investigation regarding my own transactions over the past several months and found out that there was a withdrawal from my savings account for the amount of $219.90 with the same customer service phone no. Attached to the withdrawal info. Afterwards, I reviewed my own records and discovered that on Oct. 23, I spoken with a rep. From Capital Choice Credit who promised to send a visa card w/a $4000 limit for a one time withdrawal fee of $200.

I have not received a visa to date, only a "diamond select" card from NCS (I later found out on the internet that NCS also uses the co. Name "Capital Choice") that i had initially called about.in my notes regarding the conversation, i noted that i had not said "yes" to much of any questions the representative asked, I had asked for explanations of their sales pitch. The rep. Only repeated the same info. That she had read from the computer screen the first time.

So, I specifically asked if what she was saying was that i would receive a visa with a $4k credit limit for a one time fee of $200, with no annual fees and less than 4% interest. She responded "yes." this is not what i received and the "manager" from customer service on Nov. 27, refuses to speak with me, much less give me a refund.
