Overcharge

While preparing for the impeding storm of Irene, I decided to add a bit more to my gas tank in case we would need to evacuate. I went to the station where 202 and 206 meets in the Far Hills Area of New Jersey. I specifically asked for $16 as my funds were low in my checking account. (Finally began working after a layoff and awaiting my first paycheck on September 1, so there was only 35 in the account). The attendant put $40.01 in my gas tank! I knew it would be a problem and I brought it to the attendants attention. The Exxon Attendant shrugged his shoulders, shook his head and laughed at me! I was humiliated and then, when I was then charged a fee from my bank of $35 for the overdrawn amount... The loss plus fuel amount equated to close to $8 per gallon for a gallon of gas! This was outrageous! I couldn't believe the terrible service and lack of consideration at this Gas Station.in difficult times, I have always supported Exxon and this has really made me rethink my choices. Would Exxon let a customer be treated this way and not even show some consideration?
